Metropolitan Transportation The MTA runs the subways, buses, commuter railroads, and bridges and tunnels. Its website gives you access to information on all these systems, including detailed maps, and the Transit Authority’s trip planner to give you transit information for specific trips. By all means visit the New York City Transit Museum, located in a decommissioned subway station at 99 Schermerhorn Street, Brooklyn, at the corner of Boerum Place and Schermerhorn St. – website http://www.nytransitmuseum.org/.
