Brooklyn Botanic Garden:

The Garden is located at 1000 Washington Avenue, Brooklyn, NY 11225 (Telephone: 718-623-7200). It’s a wonderful place to smell the flowers, buy plants for your garden, and even get married! It offers a very extensive program of classes and events.

Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts at Brooklyn College:

A bit closer to West Midwood, the BCBC offers wonderful performances just a few blocks from the neighborhood on the Brooklyn College campus. Telephone: 718-951-4500. You can buy tickets on line over its website.  Don’t overlook taking advantage of activities and classes available at the College—see its website at www.brooklyn.cuny.edu —or at the Prep Center for Music, Theater & Dance for children at 718-951-4111.

Brooklyn Children’s Museum:

Founded in 1899, this was the first museum developed just for children. Its hands-on exhibits are a treat for kids of all ages.

The Brooklyn Museum, located near Grand Army Plaza at 200 Eastern Parkway, Brooklyn, New York 11238-6052 (Telephone: 718-638-5000) is definitely one of finest museums in the City, to say nothing of the world! Its parking lot, which is shared with the Botanic Garden, is around the corner on Washington Avenue.

New York Aquarium:
